Martin Fuckin Emond

Matin was a huge influence on me when I was in New Zealand and his work is still a great sorce of inspiration. Sadly he passed away nearly two years ago now but I wanted to plug his work as its a crying shame there will be no more."Throw up your goats"

FUCK YEAH, Marty's work is the shit!!! He is sorely missed!! They had an exhibition of his work last year at the illicit store here in Auckland and it was fuckin' insane dude!!!

Your work is killer dude and it's cool to hear from a fellow kiwi, what are you working on at the mo? Hows the industry in London?

mukpuddy,
I'm doing a bit on the last Gorillaz video and I've been learning CG. I just finished a job little for Nike. It seems pretty busy at the moment its been up and down for the last few years. You guys seem to be doing well in NZ.
Rach, I have been in contact with Steve Hodge about animating some of Martins stuff. We'll see what happens. Could be cool. You are welcome on my Blog any time. Talk to you soon HK

Hey you

thats fantastic news, I am hopefully going up to Aucks soon and will catch up with some of the illicit crew when I am there. Have you checked out Tania's work ... Misery. Reminds me of that guy Mark Ryden(sp) but very cool all the same.

Rach xx

I grew up with Emond's work in British comics & zines & was also shocked to hear of his death. Was he a Kiwi? I always assumed he was a Brit -
